Colorful Handcrafted Kiln Fired Enamel Jewelry

Bio

ReadyfortheKilnI have been creating for as long as I can remember. I started my creative career in textiles. I have always had an interest in jewelry making. I remember slicing and polishing peach pits as a teen and making earrings. My first enameled piece was actually in the 7th grade. I still have the heart pendent in speckled blue. Many Many years later I re-discovered the field again and fell in love. I love the combination of metalwork and color. Plus within the enameling umbrella there are so many techniques to learn. I thank Joan Schlaifer for giving me those first basic lessons as an adult and Linda Darty for her book that I have read and re-read so many times it is loosing the ink on the pages. Her skill as a metal smith and an emamelist is something I aspire too.

I am a wife to one and a mother to 3. We all live with our dog and and desert tortoises in Northern Nevada just 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, one of the most beautiful places on earth.
